They had been living in a car until the man became deadly ill and had to be hospitalized. Dying of cancer, he was soon transferred to a hospice. He wanted to see his dog and asked for it several times. His dog, Yurt, went to a shelter. One of the medical workers knew the shelter and a visit got arranged. It was instant recognition. Rainbow Bridge — A Story
When you get into the field of life with dogs, dog rescue and dog lovers, you will inevitably encounter the Rainbow-Bridge. Below one of my favorite Rainbow-Bridge story.
Unlike most days at RainBow Bridge, this day dawned cold and gray, damp as a swamp and as dismal as could be imagined. All the recent arrivals were confused and concerned. They had no idea what to think for they had never experienced a day like this before. But the animals who had spent some time waiting for their beloved people knew exactly what was happening and began to gather at the pathway leading to the Bridge to watch. They knew this was something special.
